What is MCX Connector?
MCX (micro coaxial connector) are coaxial RF connectors developed in the 1980s. They have the same inner contact and insulator dimensions as the Smb Connector but are 30% smaller. MCX is standardized in European CECC 22220.
MCX connectors use a snap-on interface and usually have a 50 Ω impedance (some are 75 Ω) . They offer broadband capability from DC to 6 GHz.The contact surfaces are gold-plated.The outer diameter of the plug is approx 3.6 mm or 0.140 inch.
This type of connector is used on the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station's external antenna port and requires an adapter for most antennas. MCX and the smaller Mmcx Connector are frequently used to connect external antennas to GPS receivers. They are also common on USB DVB-T tuners for computers and laptops, to connect an external antenna to the tuner.

Antenk's MCX Connector
The MCX (Micro Coaxial) series is available with 50 Ω or 75 Ω options, and has broadband capability ranging from DC to 6 GHz. In addition, the MCX series features secure, fast and easy snap-on/ snap-off coupling.
This series provides designers with options where weight and physical space are limited. While the MCX uses identical inner contact and insulator dimensions as the SMB, the outer diameter of the plug is .140 inches, which is 30% smaller than the SMB.

A range of connectors are available, including printed circuit board and cable connectors.

MMCX Connector
MMCX (micro-miniature coaxial) connectors are coaxial RF connectors similar to MCX but smaller. They conform to the European CECC 22000 specification. MMCX connectors are rated to 500 pairing cycles.
The connectors have a lock-snap mechanism allowing 360-degree rotation and usually have a 50 Ω impedance. They offer broadband capability from DC to 6 GHz.
MMCX connectors are most commonly seen on Wi-Fi PCMCIA cards as antenna connectors or as connectors for external GPS antennas on small devices like PDAs or GPS receivers. They are also used by various brands of in-ear monitors to connect the cable to the individual earpieces. This allows for the cables to be replaced or swapped. They were developed in the 1990s.

MMCX is also used in some video transmitters for First-Person View (FPV) radio control piloting. This makes swapping antennas and repairing easier than the U.FL connectors.

Antenk's MMCX Connector
The MMCX (Micro-Miniature Coaxial) connector series is a micro-miniature version of the MCX. It has the all features of the MCX series, including 50 Ω impedance with a broadband capability of DC to 6 GHz and secure, fast and easy snap-on/ snap-off coupling, and a wide range of available connectors. However, MMCX connectors have a smaller foot print than the MCX series.

A range of connectors are available, including surface mount, edge card, and cable connectors.
